Launched in 1982 Action Force was a range of European action figures initially based on Action Man, and later used to introduce G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toys to European markets.
In 1987 Hasbro took over the UK distribution from Palitoy and introduced the line as Action Force: International Heroes. Within a few years the were branded as GI-Joe: The Action Force before changing to GI-Joe by the early 90's.
